In November 2009, I was contacted by an experienced Realtor that was working from his home in Indio, CA for a local real estate company. He was a member of the California Desert Association of Realtors and he was referred to call me by an industry contact when our $500 per file commission was brought up in conversation. He was on a 70/30 split with his current broker and could not believe the amount of increased commission he could earn with our $500 per file commission split. The amount he has paid in broker commission is $3,500.00 ($500 per file split) leaving him with a net earned total of $48,447.00 paid to him directly through escrow. With his previous broker commission split of 70/30, his total earned commission would have been $36,013.00. He made $15,434.00 more by doing the exact same thing as he was doing before.
